AT&T 4G LTE in Austin, TX

I recently got a Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket. I live in Austin, TX and we got 4G LTE eariler this year.

I am getting between 25Mbps and 50Mbps download speed all across town and even in the surrounding counties.

I'm sure that my speeds will get slower as more people more to LTE, but damn this is fast!

Welcome to the forum Clay! Very impressive indeed.
We're supposed to be getting 4G around here towards the end of the year....I'm looking forward to it. Was able to experience it on the wifes Charge last month while in Boise and it really does make a signifigant difference.

True, true. The 4G LTE will suck a battery dry! That's why I keep on the charger when I am at home, or in my truck, or in my boat!

AT&T needs to step it up a bit. I have Verizon LTE where I live now, and if you blink going through our town you might miss it. Granted, it is a rather rich town, but still!!!! I may actually have a reason to bring my Skyrocket back in to the game!

    Just a followup...

It is 2013 and I am still getting download speeds of 46.56, 43.14, and 41.75

    So far, so good!

Re: AT&T 4G LTE in Austin, TX

So I learned some things since we last talked. As long as network congestion stays low, from what I understand, it is all based on the frequency AT&T owns in the area. I have 4G LTE here in Louisville, but the best I can get on a B/W here is 5M/5M. It sucks!
