View Screen in Sunlight

How should setting be set so that I can see the screen outside? As soon as I walk out the door, the screen becomes too dim to see.

Try turning Auto Brightness on, but that might eat a little more battery.

Actually, the auto brightness on setting makes it worse. The best I can find is to turn auto brightness off and dial up thebrightness slider.

Maybe it's just my phone, but it's not useable outside!

Nah I just need that.
Well, unfortunately its built-in AMOLED gives very poor sunlight legibility.
I can also call it pathetic, if I were to be blunt.

The good thing about your phone is that it gives very vibrant colours AFAIK
