Hello Michael, welcome to the forum.

Hang on for awhile and I'll see if I can find a technician to give you a hand. Who is your service provider?

Try it a few more times. Odin can be temperamental sometimes.

If that fails, try another PC.

Ok so had i known this Odin was such a pain i would have never tried to update.
this is what i did. after trying Odin 1.83 on 3 PC's 2 running win7 1 on Xp. in a full state of panic after trying 10 or so times.
I googled Odin looking for a different version i found Odin 3.07 used it and it took the first time.
That said if i had been tech challenged like a lot of people are i might have a 300$ brick and no phone as i do not have the money to buy another.

I am now running JB and have aged 10 years

    Download Odin.

Go to Sammobile.com and create an account.

Then go to the Sam Mobile Firmwares page and enter your phone information.

Download the file. It will take quite a long time if you don't have a sponsor account.

Extract the zip file so it says .tar or .tar.md5

Click on the "How to use Odin" link in my sig and that should get you started. If you have any questions, please ask before you flash!
In my original post I gave you a download link to Odin. I apologize I didn't specify that you should have used that one.
