galaxy ii s from tmobile overheating

hello everyone i am new in the forum looks like is a lot of info in this forum

just get a galaxy s2 from t mobile i love the phone was love at first sight haha

but on the last week it got hot a couple times i unistall some apps that i download and still overheats any opinions

When it starts heating up press and hold the home button. Then select task manager. Look at what all is running and also check your ram usage.

first time it overheat when i was browsing at hotels to make reservations

second time i was looking at maps for a few minutes and start getting hot on the battery cover the plastic feels warm

i try to close all the apps and just use one at the time
this is normal?

This is definitely abnormal. I would advise you to have your phone sent for repair.

I had this same issue with my tmobile galaxy SII overheating, freezing up and killing my battery. I deleted some apps but this did not stop it from seriously getting hot, even when i wasnt doing anything on the phone. Funny thing, swtiching my sd card solved the issue. Apparently the phone wastrying to read my sd card and was on able to. I tried reading the sd card on my laptop and it failed there as well. Once i took the sd card out, i tested the phone for 2 days, and it never got as hot as it used to. I inserted a different sd card and i'm yet to have the phone overheat again.

NB: Before figuring out it was the sd card, i took the phone to a tmobile store, they were going to simple replace the phone. I'm so glad i decided to do some troubleshooting because i would have placed the same old sd card in the new phone and mostly had the same issue.

That means it's a motherboard problem.

Actually it could be a battery issue. I had an overheating problem on my Fascinate and replacing the battery did the trick.
